Luxury Soy Candles, Each Named for a Word and Its Meaning
Every candle in this collection carries a word from somewhere. Samar, Arabic for the conversation that begins after dinner. Celeste, Latin for heavenly. Liyana, Zulu for gentleness. The name comes first, and the scent is built to earn it.
They are hand-poured in small batches in Aldie, Virginia, with pure soy wax, braided cotton wicks and phthalate-free fragrance oils, for 40 to 45 hours of burn. Akira and Inizio are bright and green. Valhalla and Celeste are deep and resinous. Gulzaar and Orenda lean floral; Ambrosia and Samar lean toward dessert.
Choosing for someone else? The Scent Compass narrows the field in four questions, and any luxury candle can anchor a gift box.
